Resurrecting an old thread from 2013 ( viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1236&hilit=Hennessy+valuation ), and looking to obtain current valuation on an old bottle of Hennessy XO that my dad received as a gift some time in the 1950s/possible early 1960s. If you visit the old thread, he actually had two (2) bottles. We're going to keep the newer of the two bottles, but will be looking to sell the older of the two - which is what I'd like to confirm a reasonable asking price for.
Info is as follows:
Painted-on-glass X.O. label:
Cap seal #611591099
Raised decoration glass ornamental pattern around primary label
Hennessy (arm holding axe icon within a square located to left of the word "Hennessy")
There's a chance that the bottles got switched between the two boxes during photographing (one of which has text imprinted on the back/the other doesn't), so while I understand that the boxes may also have value, I can gladly include both boxes when I list for sale.
Forum member Mikethevike was very helpful in helping me out last time around - although I'm not sure if he's still on the forum or not.
Any insights as to reasonable value / selling price greatly appreciated!
