l'Or de J & F Martell: Is it Baccarat?

Postby Remington01 » Sat Oct 29, 2016 5:31 pm

I've acquired a bottle of the l'Or de J & F Martell and have been looking for one particular piece of information on it.
Is the bottle actually Baccarat Crystal?
Most sources list the bottle as being in Baccarat, but the actual bottle has no documentation or marking of being such and it has a telling seam down the side that is traditional of a standard formed glass decanter. I know the bottle is the real thing, because I know both the retailer and distributor that it came from. Even trying to contact Martell directly has not given me an answer (they've never answered back).
Does anybody know for sure what kind of bottle this comes in?
Thanks!

Hi there,

Not made by Baccarat by my knowledge, which is also why it doesn't sell for the same amount as the iconic Rémy Martin or Hennessy Baccarat decanters.
That said, one sold for 1000 euros at Catawiki recently:

Cheers,
